Religions have always physically represented emotions and qualities of people, through statues, drawing, moulding, etc.… For strong emotions such as fear, doubt, and madness, these effigies are outlets often destroyed during a ceremony. Nowadays avatars replaced effigies. The avatar is a person’s gateway into another world. So ensure that people’s avatar brings out as much of people’s identity as possible.
Playing with avatars that are powerful in a game world, or avatars that we find attractive, makes us more confident and optimistic, so that we're more likely to successfully flirt with strangers or negotiate in a workplace meeting.
